Spirulina Protein Smoothie


How gorg is this colour? Spirulina provides a load of B12, iron and so many other vitamins and minerals. It is basically the god of all superfoods! You wouldn't think something as green as Spirulina would taste as good as this smoothie tastes. This smoothie is one of my favourites. The maca powder helps to balance hormones, the flaxseed meal and chia seeds provide omega 3 and with the added plant based protein it is great before or after a workout. This is the perfect smoothie that covers everything your body needs!

Protein Spirulina Smoothie


Ingredients

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1 1/2 tsp spirulina powder

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp flaxseed meal

1 tsp maca powder

1 scoop plant based vanilla protein powder

1/2 cup almond milk

3/4 cup filtered water

Method

Chuck everything into a high speed blender and blend until smooth.

Top with chia seeds if you feel like being extra.
