Chickpea Balls with Homemade BBQ Sauce

These Chickpea Balls are super quick and easy to make, also healthy and delicious! Great to pair with salad or veggies, rice, quinoa, avocado or on their own with some hummus! Also great to take on the go.

 

 

 

 

Chickpea Balls with Homemade BBQ Sauce

 

 

Ingredients

(serves 1, makes around 5 balls)

 

1 can of chickpeas (drained and rinsed)

A handful of oat flour (blended oats) (or almond meal)

A dash of tamari

1 tbsp tomato paste

Squeeze of lemon juice

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp mixed herbs

1 tsp garlic granules

Black pepper to taste

Tiny pinch of pink himalayan salt (there is already salt from tamari)

 

BBQ Sauce:

1 tbsp tamari

2 tbsp ketchup

 

 

Method

 

Preheat oven to 200ºC.

In a bowl mash the chickpeas with a fork.

Add the rest of the ingredients and mix together.

Use your hands to roll mixture into medium sized balls and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Cover each ball with the BBQ sauce and bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
