Arbonne sent me a few of their best sellers to try including their Calm range, RE9 Advanced range, Shea Butter Hand Cream, Hair Revitalizing Masque and Mascara.
WHAT I NOTICED:
Calm - For dry and sensitive skin (daily cleanser, facial serum, daily moisturiser, soothing eye gel)
Key ingredients: aloe vera, cucumber, licorice root extract, chamomile, mallow flower, Japanese green tea leaf, sea mayweed.
Price for whole set £136 I received a sample kit which lasted me a week, using it morning and night. My skin type is normal and can sometimes be dry and sometimes sensitive. My skin has always been pretty good, and that can have something to do with my genes and my healthy diet and daily exercise, but I will say the little things I noticed.
I can tend to get redness around my cheek area and I noticed using this that that went down a lot and my skin tone looked more even.
It made my face a bit shiny but that wasn't too noticeable, some woman like that "glowy" look. It felt nice and light on the skin, and my skin felt moisturised and hydrated.
RE9 Advanced - anti-ageing
(facial cleanser, regenerating toner, intensive renewal serum, corrective eye cream, restorative cream SPF 20, extra moisture restorative cream SPF 20, night repair cream)
Key ingredients: sustainable orange stem cells, vitamin c, peptides, brown algae, sea buckthorn.
Price for whole set £364
I gave this one to my mum to review. I thought the review would be more realistic as I don't have aged skin. She said: "I really liked this skincare line for my mature skin.
The cleanser was gentle on the skin, foamed up nicely and left my face feeling clean and soft.
The toner was refreshing with only a subtle fragrance.
The Intensive Renewal Serum was nourishing for the skin.
The Corrective Eye Cream was thick and creamy.
I could feel the Restorative Cream toning and firming my skin and the day and night moisturisers (Extra Moisture Restorative Cream SPF20 and Night Repair Cream) were quite rich and luxurious but absorbed into the skin quickly with no sticky residue.
I found a small amount of these products went a long way. Their prices seem to be on par with most of the higher end popular skin care products. Bearing in mind that I have normal skin with no problems these products were great, although I do believe that glowing, healthy skin has more to do with plants that you put inside rather than outside".
And I definitely agree with that last bit!
Shea Butter Hand Cream
Key ingredients: shea butter, vitamin e, coconut oil.
I like hand creams that soak into the skin and don't leave my hands feeling greasy. And luckily this hand cream did just that, also leaving my hands feeling moisturised and soft. It also smelt really nice, like shea butter and coconut.
Pure Vibrance Hair Revitalizing Masque
Key ingredients: argan oil, rice extract and artichoke leaf extract.
I massaged this through my hair and scalp after applying shampoo and conditioner and let sit for 5 minutes. It had a slight nice smell to it. I didn't notice a huge difference but my hair did feel a bit softer.
It's A Long Story, Mascara
Key ingredients: polypeptides, pea extract, bamboo extract, panthenol (pro-vitamin B5).
I was looking for a new cruelty-free mascara and this has been the best mascara I have used.
I used this mascara once and fell in love with it. It was so smooth with no clumpy bits at all. My lashes looked visibly longer and fuller which is great because my eye lashes aren't that long, and also looked quite natural at the same time. It is also waterproof and most waterproof mascaras can look quite thick and are a nightmare to remove, but this was super easy to remove.
I will definitely be sticking to this mascara.
I would definitely recommend Arbonne!
